The drive takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, offering scenic views of Costa Rica&#8217;s landscapes along the way.<br><br>If you&#8217;re arriving at Liberia International Airport, the park is around a 4 to 5-hour drive away. Renting a car or hiring a private shuttle service are the recommended transportation options to reach Marino Ballena.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\">\n<li><strong>Park Schedule<\/strong>:<br>Marino Ballena National Park is open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is closed on Mondays for maintenance. It&#8217;s important to note that the park has a daily visitor limit, so it&#8217;s advisable to arrive early to secure your entry.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>History<\/strong>:<br>Marino Ballena National Park was established in 1990 with the aim of preserving the marine and coastal ecosystems in the region. It encompasses approximately 13,700 acres (5,544 hectares) of land and mostly sea, providing protection to the rich biodiversity found within its boundaries.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Known restrictions<\/strong>:<br>To ensure the preservation of the park&#8217;s delicate marine environment, certain restrictions are in place. Visitors are not allowed to fish or collect marine organisms within the park.
